Bespoke Suits in Bangkok, Made From Your Own Pattern

A bespoke suit starts from a paper pattern drawn only for you. We cut the cloth by hand and fit the suit on you until it's right. It's not a standard size made to fit.

How It's Made

A Suit Made From Your Own Pattern

Many suits sold as “custom” in Bangkok start from a ready-made pattern that is changed to fit your size. That's a fine suit, and it has its place. Bespoke is different.

At ITORVANI, a bespoke suit starts with a blank sheet of paper. We draw a pattern from your measurements only — nobody else has that pattern. Then we cut the cloth to it by hand. Nothing is taken from a standard pattern and changed.

It costs more and takes longer. People still choose it for one simple reason: the jacket sits on your shoulders the way it should, and it keeps doing that for years — not just for the first few wears.

Know what you're buying

Bespoke, made-to-measure or ready-made?

Three words that get mixed up a lot in Bangkok. Here's the plain difference, and where each one sits at ITORVANI. All three are real choices — the right one depends on your time, budget and how often you'll wear the suit.

What Makes Our Bespoke Suits Different

01

Pattern Drawn From Scratch

We draw your pattern on paper, by hand, from your own measurements. We keep it on file under your name, so your next order — even years later — starts from a fit we already know works on you.

02

Measured Standing and Sitting

We take 17 measurements, standing and sitting. We also note what a tape measure can't catch — one shoulder lower than the other, your posture, how you really wear a jacket.

03

Cut and Sewn in Our Shop

The cloth is cut for your pattern only, not taken from a pile of pieces cut in advance. Our tailors work behind the shop — ask, and we'll show you the cutting table.

04

Fittings Until It Fits

Usually two: a basted first fitting to check how the cloth falls, then the finished garment. A third fitting is added at no extra charge if needed.

05

Your Choice of Cloth and Details

Lapel shape, buttons, lining, a monogram — you choose them with us at the consultation, not from a fixed menu.

The Bespoke Suit Process

Step 01

Consultation

We sit down and talk about where you'll wear the suit. Then we pull cloth off the wall so you can feel the weight. In Bangkok's heat this matters — we'll help you pick cloth that's comfortable to wear.

Step 02

Measurements and Pattern

We take 17 measurements and draw your paper pattern by hand. It's kept on file under your name.

Step 03

First Fitting

Your jacket comes to you basted — held together with loose, temporary stitches. We chalk changes straight onto it while you wear it.

Step 04

Garment Construction

Now the real work starts. On a fully canvassed suit, the canvas is hand-padded into the chest and lapels, stitch by stitch. It's the slow part, and it's the part that makes the jacket last.

Step 05

Final Fitting

You try on the finished suit. We check the chest, the lapel and the sleeve length. Anything still not right is chalked and fixed before you take it home.

Fabrics and Custom Details

We work with Italian and English cloth — wool in different weights, chosen for Bangkok's heat, not for a cold climate. Usually 220–280 GSM, suited to Bangkok's heat and humidity. See all our fabrics.

You decide the details with us at the consultation: notch, peak or shawl lapel; horn, mother-of-pearl or metal buttons; lining and colour; pocket style; and a monogram if you want one. Everything is checked against your suit, not picked from a brochure.

For a shirt to go with the suit, see our Bespoke Shirts page. If the suit is for a wedding, our Wedding Suits page covers timing and style. Need suits for the office? See Business Suits.
