The area
Pratunam, Bangkok's clothing district
Pratunam means “water gate” in Thai. The name comes from an old floodgate on Khlong Saen Saep, the canal that still runs through the area. Today it's part of Ratchathewi district, right in the centre of Bangkok.
Pratunam has been a clothing district since the 1960s. It's one of the biggest places in Thailand to buy clothes, wholesale or retail — Pratunam Market, Platinum Fashion Mall and hundreds of small shops, all within a few streets.
That's why so many visitors get a suit made here. It's also why you should compare. There are a lot of tailors in Pratunam, and they don't all work the same way.

Enter through Zone 2 on the Phetchaburi Road side, take the escalators to the 4th floor, and turn left into the Camden 2 corridor — shop 1046 is on the left.
Yes. Amari Bangkok, which used to be called Amari Watergate, is directly across Phetchaburi Road from Platinum Fashion Mall. Our shop is about 170 metres away in a straight line — cross the road, go into the mall and up to the 4th floor.
About 260 metres in a straight line. Pratunam Market and Platinum Fashion Mall are in the same few blocks, so it's easy to do both in one trip.
Walk north on Ratchadamri Road, over the Khlong Saen Saep canal bridge, to the Pratunam junction, then turn left onto Phetchaburi Road for Platinum Fashion Mall. It's quicker by taxi — say "Platinum Pratunam". Siam is also one of our hotel-fitting areas, so we can come to you instead.
